Student Lists and Outreach

View and Export Student Lists

If an Analytics user is given access to view and export student lists, they will be able to access and export lists of students to identify currently enrolled students that meet the selected filter criteria.

There are several ways to access a Student List:

  • Prediction Distribution
  • Student List
  • Powerful Predictor
  • Paired Predictor Plot

Prediction Distribution

From the dashboard, users can find a count of all Active Students in the center of the prediction distribution wheel. If filters are applied, this number will reflect the count of currently enrolled students that fall into the selected filter criteria.

Click the number of active students in the center of the graph to see a list of students.

Click to see a Student List containing all students meeting the current filter criteria.

The student list page displays various student information and allows for filtering, sorting, outreaching, and exporting.

This list will include each student’s student ID, first and last name, email address, whether they are enrolled in the current term, persistence prediction, last term enrolled, and next term enrolled.

Click the Export Student List button to generate a .csv file that can be opened in most spreadsheet software applications. The file will include the student names and details provided in the list. Or, click the Outreach button to start a nudge campaign for the students in the list.

Student List

Select Student Lists from the side menu to view all students meeting the current filter criteria.

Powerful Predictor

Highlight any section of a Powerful Predictor’s probability density function.

Highlight any section of a Powerful Predictor's probability density function by clicking and dragging along the line graph.

Click View Active Students, located on the right side of the details bar, to see a list of all students meeting the current filter criteria and the range of highlighted values.

Click View Active Students along the top right of the graph to view all active students who are part of the highlighted section.

This list will include each student’s student ID, first and last name, email address, whether they are enrolled in the current term, persistence prediction, last term enrolled, next term enrolled, and a range that includes the student’s value for the chosen Powerful Predictor.

Click the Export Student List button to generate a .csv file that can be opened in most spreadsheet software applications. The file will include the student names and details provided in the list. Or, click the Outreach button to start a nudge campaign for the students in the list.

Paired Predictor Plot

Select any quadrant of a Paired Predictor Plot:
When reviewing Paired Predictors, you can find students segmented into four quadrants. Clicking the Active Students link in each quadrant brings you to a list of students that fall in the selected quadrant.

Click Active Students, located beneath the persistence information for that quadrant, to see a list of all students meeting the current filter criteria and the quadrant thresholds for both Powerful Predictors.

After selecting active students, the filters work to segment the student based on the paired predictor quadrant or highlighted selection from the Powerful Predictors graphs.

This list will include each student’s student ID, first and last name, email address, whether they are enrolled in the current term, persistence prediction, last term enrolled, next term enrolled, and a range of values in which the student’s value falls for both Powerful Predictors.

Click the Export Student List button to generate a .csv file that can be opened in most spreadsheet software applications. The file will include the student names and details provided in the list. Or, click the Outreach button to start a nudge campaign for the students in the list.

Outreach Exclusions

Analytics users who have been granted admin permissions can exclude specific students from all future email outreach (nudges), and they can reverse any exclusions.

  1. From the sidebar, select Outreach Exclusions.
If you do not see this option, contact your team lead.
  2. Enter the email address of the student you wish to exclude.
  3. If the email address is validated, select the Exclude from Outreach button that appears.
  4. The student is now listed under Excluded from Outreach Emails.

To undo the exclusion, select the minus (–) icon in the Remove column next to the student’s name.
