Dashboard Configuration

Only the User Role of Director may be granted the Manage Dashboards permission.

The Dashboard is the page opened by the house icon. By default, users in all SSUs see the legacy Basic Dashboard:

The optional Advanced Dashboard view incorporates data insights that make use of each student’s persistence prediction (analytics about how likely they are to stay enrolled), as well as changes to their status and engagement data.

Enabling the Dashboard  — Each SSU is configured separately, based on whether it should have access to the advanced features and data insights of the new Dashboard:

  1. Logged in as a Director, select Configurations (wrench icon) from the bottom of the side menu, and open the User Management tab.
  2. Grant the Manage Dashboards permission to all Director-level users who need it.
Enable the Dashboard Configuration under Additional Permissions
  3. Open the Dashboard tab.
  4. Select an SSU from the drop selector.
  5. Toggle the Dashboard visibility as needed, and select Save (to the right).
  6. Repeat for each additional SSU.

Important: Regardless of user role and permissions, if the Dashboard is not enabled for an SSU, then users in that SSU only see the Basic Dashboard.

Data Visibility — Data visibility on either Dashboard is always restricted to those students a user has permission to see. If a user’s SSU has no access to persistence data, those widgets will be hidden.
